Even More Clutter

Third announcement! The bindings for Perl and Python are ready and rocking, in SVN:

  svn co http://svn.o-hand.com/repos/clutter/branches/clutter-perl-0-4/
  svn co http://svn.o-hand.com/repos/clutter/branches/pyclutter-0-4/

and as tarballs here (for Clutter-Perl) and here (for PyClutter). Both require the 0.4.0 release of Clutter core and of the integration libraries.

Caveats for the bindings - the Perl bindings do not support the clutter-gtk widget, as it falls under the Gtk2 namespace (possibly, Gtk2::ClutterEmbed), while the Python bindings do not allow the creation of ClutterBox actors in pure Python, yet. Expect a point release for both of them to fix these issues.

The Clutter-Sharp bindings will arrive shortly, now that the API is frozen; also, we heard that Vala now ships Clutter bindings as well, for the 0.3 development branch. Finally, it appears that Neil Roberts is working on the Ruby bindings. Thanks to everyone working on bindings for Clutter: you rock our world!
